We are looking for a highly motivated, creative media intern to help document and elevate the Hammer & Axe story this summer.

This opportunity is about more than just creating content.

You’ll be embedded in a professional running environment, capturing the workouts, conversations, races, behind-the-scenes moments, and daily grind of elite athletes pursuing excellence while coaching others to do the same.

Responsibilities

🎬 YouTube Production

  • Produce 2 YouTube videos per month (6 total)

  • 10–15 minutes each

  • Includes filming, editing, and basic thumbnail coordination

  • Focus: storytelling around training, racing, lifestyle, coaching, and team culture

📱 Short-Form Content

  • Attend practice 3x per week (required)

  • Capture and produce:

    • 3 weekly Reels (30–60 seconds) featuring Hammer & Axe coaches

  • Reels should feel authentic, training-focused, and personality-driven

📸 Photography

  • Deliver 2 photo albums per week featuring coaches and workouts

  • Photos will be used for:

    • Website updates

    • Newsletter content

    • Social media

    • Marketing materials

    • TrainingPeaks content

    • Brand sponsor assets

  • Focus: high-quality, professional, yet authentic imagery

Compensation & Support

  • $1,500 per month

  • Gas mileage covered for the summer

  • Hammer & Axe will reimburse approved work-related expenses

  • Access to team gear + professional training environment

Who This Is For

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Is passionate about running, sport, and storytelling

  • Has experience with photography and video editing

  • Understands YouTube and short-form platforms (Instagram, TikTok, etc.)

  • Is dependable and willing to show up consistently

  • Wants to build relationships in the professional running world

You don’t need to be perfect, but you must care deeply about your craft and demonstrate a willingness to learn.
